Dixie was found roaming on her own in the woods. No owners came forward to claim her. She is a sweet 17-pound beagle mix thought to be about five years old. She is house broken and crate trained. She is fully vaccinated and has been spayed. She was diagnosed with heartworm disease, but we will treat her for that and cover the costs. We have started her on the slow kill method and would consider faster treatment if she found her family who understood the risks and care involved after treatment
